The 3-watt CREE LED Double Row Light Bar – Due to the balance between heat buildup and light output, the 3-watt double row light bar has become the quintessential go-to for many light bar manufacturers. With the ongoing advancement of technology, better quality LED lamps are available for a multitude of applications. Our 3-watt CREE Double Row Light Bars feature a robust CREE XLAMP XBD LED which delivers a whopping 136 lumens per watt in a pure white 6000k color temperature. These are the exact same lamps used by many of the large brand-name off road LED companies. Available in lengths from 6” up to 50”, these double row bars are designed to be utilized in almost every situation – for casual off road enthusiasts, professional race teams, emergency responders, farming and agriculture equipment, mining, hunting, and general work applications. This 50” version houses 96 CREE XLAMP XBD LEDs which together produce a night-searing 29664 lumens.
Heat Management: Life or Death for LEDs – The 3-watt CREE LED double row light bar series feature an aerospace grade 6061-T6 aluminum extruded housing with oversized heat sink fins. Within the world of LED technology, one issue of paramount importance is that of heat management. An LED which is capable of 136 lumens per watt is only able to produce that amount of luminous flux (brightness) by being kept cool. By utilizing 6061-T6 aluminum, these double row light bars are able to both be very thermally conductive as well as incredibly strong. With the oversized heat sink fins, heat is easily transferred away from the LEDs and dissipated across a large surface area in the rear of the light bar. A cooler LED is a brighter LED. In addition to the actual luminous flux, a controlled temperature is essential to the longevity of the LED. Despite being rated at 50,000 hours, an overheated LED can rapidly dim and underperform.
Flood, Spot, Combo Beam Patterns – The 3-watt CREE LED Double Row Light Bar series are all available in a solo spot, solo flood, or combination beam pattern. For high speed applications where distance vision is the ultimate goal, a solo spot beam pattern will be the most appropriate. Conversely, for those up close needs where a ‘hot’ spot isn’t desired, a solo flood beam pattern can provide excellent area coverage. The vast majority of applications will best benefit from a combo beam pattern. This type of beam pattern features spot lights in the center of the light bar and flood lights on the outer corners.
Ingress Protection/IP Rating – The IP rating system classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects, dust, and water in mechanical casings with electronic enclosures. The 3-watt Double Row Light Bar series feature an IP rating of 67 which means that each light bar is completely dust tight with no ingress of dust or solid particulate matter. Also, the light bars are water proof up to 1m for at least 30 min. With a durable black powdercoat finish, a pressure seal utilizing thick molded rubber seals, and an unbreakable scratch-resistant lens, the 3-watt Double Row Light Bar series is the perfect accessory to every tough situation.
